The Week of April 20th
Hello to my amazing 3rd graders! I will update this page often this week! Check back often, it is on your CLEVER.
ZOOM SCHEDULE: Tuesdays with Ms. Rechel (10:30), Wednesdays with Ms. Milligan (10:30), and Fridays (1).

Below are your suggested tasks for each day this week:
- 1 page of READING and 1 page of MATH from your new workbook (handed out last week)
- Read for 20 minutes each day
- IXL Reading (20 minutes) and IXL Math (20 minutes) on TUESDAY and THURSDAY.
- Successmaker reading and math on MONDAY and WEDNESDAY.
- Reflex Math (20 minutes) FRIDAY
- Flocabulary videos FRIDAY
- OMA enrichment lesson
- Any lessons from last week that you did not finish.
- Any lessons listed below.
Writing:
If you did not finish last week's assignment click here. Do this first.
Journal entries:
These should each be a *minimum of 5 complex sentences*. Complex sentences are longer and have more details in them. Use your best handwriting. All conventions should be checked so that they are correct (spelling, punctuation, spacing, capitalization). Pick one topic a day.
Prompts to Choose From:
- If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go and why?
- Write your own version of a classic story (The Three Little Pigs, Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, etc.)
- Write a friendly letter to the principal.
- Write about a time when you made something for yourself. What did you make? Did it work well?
- Write about your goals for this week. What are they and how will you make sure that you meet them?
Math:
For those of you who attended ZOOM lessons, please only complete the pages towards the end that say Lesson 25 HOMEWORK. If you missed our lessons, get caught up with the practice pages and the homework pages. Click here for lesson 25.
Bonus Puppet Idea:
Who loves the Mathematical Pig and the Big Bad Wolf? WE DO! Your task is to create your own puppet from items you have around your house (old socks, old paper bags, pieces of paper, etc.) You must have your grown ups permission to use these things before you begin!!!!! Give your puppet a name. Once your puppet is made give him or her a name! Then choose from an activity below.
- Write a story all about your puppet, use your imagination.
- Read a story to your puppet.
- Put on a puppet show for your family.
- Send a picture of your puppet with its name to me! *I would love to see it*
